We do not zoom in on one player individually, we film the game as a whole. Whether there for someone specific or the entire team it needs to be filmed the same way for recruiting purposes. All games are filmed from a medium shot following the action and we keep 2/3rds of the action ahead of the ball. This allows for off ball play to be seen as players 2--3 passes away from the ball are just as important and lets you see the whole play develop. If you are involved in the play, you will be covered!
play_arrow How does a Team Package work?
The Team package is hands down the most cost-effective way to purchase film. It comes with a multi-user license meaning multiple players can access and use the footage, so it’s one flat rate that you can split with other players on the team, saving up to 85% off the individual package pricing! It includes a copy of every game your team plays in at the event; including any playoff, championship, or all-star games, unless otherwise noted. Sharing the film with others splitting the order is simple. The purchaser logs into their NLV account and can paste the email addresses of everyone who is a part of the order. They will get an email notifying them they have the film and how to access it! Games are then immediately available to watch streaming online from any device, even mobile! You can also download and save an editable copy! All participants involved in the team package will also get a discount on an NLV produced and edited highlight reel which can be made from this film as well as any other games submitted.
play_arrow How Do I Download Footage?
If you’re experiencing difficulty downloading your game film, try the following troubleshooting steps: #1) You must download to a computer and NOT a tablet or phone. Video files of this size are too large for mobile devices. You can watch footage streaming on these devices, but in order to download and edit you will need to work from a laptop or computer. #2) Check your internet speed. Regardless of the age or model of your computer, your download speed dictates how long it will take to download the files. Go to www.speedtest.net to run a free analysis of your download speed. The chart below offers approximate download times based off the speed of your internet. Download Speed (Approximately.) 40 Mbps = 10 minutes per game 20 Mbps = 20 minutes per game 10 Mbps = 40 minutes per game 5 Mbps = 1.5 hours per game #3) Try using a different browser. Browsers are the program you use to surf the web. The most popular ones are Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Internet explorer. Outdated browsers can cause downloading issues and using an alternative one often resolves any issues. We recommend Google Chrome for best results. #4) Download one at a time. Video files are big. Trying to download multiple files at once will overload your internet bandwidth. For best results download one at a time and make sure to download the file completely. If you are downloading and the internet cuts out or your signal fades away you will need to start over. Partial downloads will not open. #5) Save it to the desktop. If you are not sure where to save the files on your computer, we recommend choosing “desktop” so you can easily locate it when the download is done. Most browsers and computers will prompt you on this. If it does not, right click on “download” and select “save file as” then choose desktop. If you download the file successfully but have a hard time locating it, try checking your “downloads” folder and then move the files to your desktop to save time in the future.
play_arrow How Do I Submit Plays or Additional Footage for a Highlight Reel?
Submitting your time index as well as additional footage not shot by NLV to our editors is simple and can be done through your NLV account. Once logged in, click on dashboard. From here, you can oversee and submit everything pertaining to your highlight reel order. Select the "highlight reels" tab and follow the on screen prompts to input information and upload your video files. Please note, if your footage lives on HUDL, Krossover, or another similar platform, you will need to download it from there and then send it to us. We will not log in to your account. Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation email. If our editors have any questions, they will contact you. When the first draft of your highlight reel is complete, you will receive email notification prompting you to log back in and review your reel. Should any changes be required, they can be submitted through the NLV dashboard directly to the editing staff.
play_arrow How do you know what team I am on / which game I want?
We film all games on all fields for the entire event or specific divisions unless otherwise noted. If you're playing in one of those divisions, your team is going to be filmed so you are set even if you did not tell us to film it. After the event when the footage is ready we send you a notification to log into your account. From there you can choose your team and which game(s) you want!
play_arrow How long does it take to receive footage?
All footage will be sent within 14 days or less from the ending point of the event. Footage will be delivered online electronically. DVDs will NOT be sent. You will receive an email after the event informing you the footage is ready. You can then log in to select your game, team, view streaming, and download your footage.

play_arrow What are my rights?
When you purchase film you receive a single or multi-user license which represent the number of people allowed to access and use the footage. Team packages are the ONLY product sold by NLV that comes with a multi user license. This license grants the purchaser permission to share the footage with every athlete on their team for use in promotional videos and highlight reels. Security restrictions are removed and we provide built in functionality in our website to easily share the footage. In simplified terms, you are allowed to and can easily share footage with members of your team that are splitting the purchase with you. For all video footage purchases that are NOT Team Packages, NLV grants You a Single User License. With this purchase, you are allowed to use footage for personal, non-commercial, internal use only. In other words - you may not share this footage with any other athlete on you or your child’s team or use it to create a promotional video for your team - or a highlight reel for any athlete other than you, or your child - if the purchaser is a parent, guardian, relative, friend or coach. Single-user licensing does not restrict you from personally creating a highlight reel for your own personal use, or from providing your highlight reel to any party who may be interested in viewing it, including but not limited to college coaches as part of the college recruiting process. In other words, you can upload your highlight reel to a site (such as YouTube) to send to a college coach. You are entirely responsible, for all content that you upload, post, or otherwise transmit whether personally or through a third party source such as a business website pertaining to a specific team. Making the footage publicly available and downloadable on any video network including but not limited to mass distribution sites such as Youtube, Krossover, and Hudl, constitutes an unauthorized sharing and violates the terms of the Single User License.
play_arrow What is the difference between Standard and Premier Highlights?
NLV offers two highlight reel packages. Standard and premier. Both packages can be made from any film we produce as well as any additional footage you may wish to submit. The standard package includes an introductory bio screen, up to 20 plays which will appear in the order you list them AND isolation spot-shadow graphics on every play. The premier package includes a customizable introductory bio screen, up to 25 plays with assistance choosing the best order, a complimentary round of revisions, additional isolation effects such as tracker graphics that follow a player as he or she move throughout each play, and an assortment of additional specialty graphics such as our assist vision and zoom enhancement on a face-off or draw. Our editors will also apply digital enhancement as necessary to any footage you may submit. Premier is ideal for those looking for that extra level of support, customization, and enhanced graphic effects to make the player really stand out.
play_arrow Why do I need video?
Why do you NEED video? Plain and simple it increases exposure during the recruiting process. Coaches have limited time and budgets to view high school players. They are limited by NCAA regulations as to the amount of communication they can have with a player and are even subject to blackout periods where they cannot view tournaments or programs. During these periods they watch footage - more specifically, highlight reels of players, a compilation of their best overall plays from multiple games only a couple of minutes in length, approximately 15-25 plays total. At tournaments, there are only so many athletes a coach can see and often the coach’s assistants are sent to help with scouting. The coach’s assistant will take notes on players and report back to the coach. Having the ability to compare notes with actual game footage, or better yet, a highlight reel, is crucial in the recruiting process.
